The Hacettepe University FoodOmics Laboratory Culture Collection (HUFCC) Has Been Established!

Within the Department of Food Engineering at Hacettepe University, the Hacettepe University FoodOmics Laboratory Culture Collection (HUFCC) was established under the Hacettepe University Scientific Research Project (BAP) entitled “Conservation and Characterization of Microbial Biodiversity: Establishing a Culture Collection Model” (Project Code: FHD-2024-21308).

The culture collection developed within this framework was registered in the World Data Centre for Microorganisms (WDCM) on 4 July 2025 under the accession number WDCM #1325 (https://ccinfo.wdcm.org/details?regnum=1325). In addition, HUFCC was invited by the European Culture Collections Organisation (ECCO) and was formally accepted as a member during the annual meeting held on 19 September 2025 (https://www.eccosite.org/portfolio-item/hufcc/).
